Simple Woman's Daybook - October 5, 2009

For Today, October 5, 2009...
Outside My Window... fall is really here!  This is my favorite time of year.  My large maple hasn't started to turn yet, but when it does it will be glorious.
I am thinking...about my back.  I have had a couple of weeks of increasing muscle tension, leading to headaches and back pain.  This morning I took some OTC muscle relaxants and they seem to be helping.  I need to get a massage.
I am thankful for...a weekend home alone with my husband.
From the kitchen...I have some thawed bananas in the fridge that will become banana muffins later today.  I need to plan my meals for the week.
I am wearing... a pink velour track suit.  It never goes outside the house, LOL!
I am creating...a serene and inviting house (I hope).  Tonight is the first online chat session of the declutter group I've joined.
I am going...to my course at Regis this morning, and then will pick up Michael at school after four days at band camp.
I am reading... The Comforts of a Muddy Saturday by Alexander McCall Smith, one of his Isabel Dalhousie series.  It's due back today so it will be my subway reading.
I am hoping... that Michael had a great time at band camp, despite the rain and cold.
I am hearing... the hum of my furnace, one floor directly beneath my feet.
Around the house...we're swapping out our summer stuff and retrieving throw blankets for the living room, duvets for the beds, and winter coats and accessories.
One of my favorite things...is spending time with my husband, even if we're just reading on the same sofa.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: I have a class today, online chat with declutter group tonight, dinner with out of town friends who are passing through Toronto on Thursday, and then Alex comes home Friday night for (Canadian) Thanksgiving weekend.
Here is picture thought I am sharing... Beautiful staircase at Victoria University in the University of Toronto.  We could stand to add a little more colour to our life!

I have a bright red set of sweats -
the shirt has a Christmas tree and reindeer applique on the front - this outfit has never been out of the house either.
I think it would complement your pink velour quite nicely.

What's say we meet up and go for a jog some morning just to bring a little joy to the neighborhood?
