My dog Wilson gets very upset when people swim. It would appear that he thinks they are being attacked by the lake. So he bites back.
Wilson is a very brave dog. I have a friend who has a Yellow Lab named Murphy. Murphy likes rocks. If you throw a rock in the water (river, lake, ocean) he will dive for it. He somehow manages to always find the right one.
